IELTS SPEAKING : describe a special tree in your country

Vietnam is in no short supply of beautiful, unique-looking trees and what I’m going to tell you about today is the cherry blossom tree. It’s a decoration for Tet holiday so when Tet is coming, the cherry blossom tree is ubiquitous, especially in the North of Vietnam. Everyone will crab a fascinating cherry blossom tree for their house. For some information about the tree, cherry blossom tree is a cryophilous crop, it’ll only fully flower and seed after it has experienced low temperatures early in its growth cycle so spring is the perfect time for it. There is a variety of cherry blossom in Vietnam. Some has smaller sizes, some are light in pink, some are blushier. But all of them are beautiful. Besides the flowers, another key element that is fastidiously inspected by seasoned buyers of cherry blossom is the buds. The ones with lots of buds go for a pretty penny, especially given how hot the weather in Vietnam, and that has caused the cherry blossom to blossom prematurely. That’s why the abundance of buds ensures that the owner can contemplate the beauty of the tree in all the holiday long. However, true connoisseurs know to look beyond the flowers and the buds. There are other elements to explain why one tree are worth X and others are worth Y. For example, the way the trunk grows, colloquially refered to as the posture of the tree constitutes much of the tree’s value. In other words, a shapely tree will have a high price, while others randomly grown trees are much cheaper. The blossoming of the cherry blossom tree usually coincide with the first day of the new year so it kinds of represents the start of something new, something lucky for the beginning of a new year. That’s why it has become a traditional botanical plants in the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. It is a totally inadequacy if we don’t have a blossom tree in our Tet holiday.
