Describe a time when someone didn’t tell you the whole truth
I don’t want to sound pretentious, but I’d like to think of myself as a person who values honesty. And nothing infuriates me more than when someone deliberately lie to my face or even when someone isn’t completely upfront with me about something. Amd today I’m going to talk to you about a time when I got tricked at a fitness center, and I was super mad about it. I think it was last year, maybe I went to this gym to sign up for a membership. It is like a more upscale establishment so the price is quite steep, and I just want to make sure what I was getting before taking the plunge. I left my contact details at the gym, and I was later contacted by a sales associate who walked me through all these membership schemes that they had on offer. But as soon as I saw the price tag I was like : Never will I pay that much for a fitness membership.” But she was super persistent about it, and she offered me a bunch of discounts and eventually she threw in like a 2-month voucher for free. It all seemed too good to be true but, being a gullible person I am, I was eventually sold and I bought the plan she offered. I thought I score a great deal, until this one day I went to the gym to work out, and I got called out by a member of the staff who told me that the voucher was only good for morning sessions, which meant I couldn’t use the facilities in the afternoon or evening. Needless to say, I was outraged. I tried to called to confront the sales associate about the matter, but she just went MIA. So I brought the matter to the manager of the gym, and fortunately the issues was rectified. But you see I would have had no problems with the limitations of the voucher had she been upfront with me about it, I mean, I get it, freebies have strings attached. But the fact that she wasn’t completely open about the caveats of such an expensive purchase was what really put me off.
